2,600 m (approx. 2h30–3h from Saint Jacques or reachable by Jeep)

The hut is located in an unspoiled valley rich in flora and fauna. It is very welcoming, and we highly recommend stopping for a meal to enjoy its renowned local specialties. The hut lies along Alta Via No. 1 and is a well-known stage of the Tor des Géants trail, as well as one of the six huts of the Tour des Six.
Near the hut, you will find several small lakes: the first just a few minutes away, the Croce lakes about a 30-minute walk, and the Green Lake approximately 1h30 away.

To reach the hut, you can start from Saint Jacques by crossing the small bridge on the left just after the church. Follow the signs for Alta Via No. 1, marked by a yellow triangular symbol. The route is very varied: the first section climbs through a larch forest, leading to the Nana Inferiore pastures, followed by a gentle ascent along the valley floor beside a small stream.
At around 2,150 m, a more demanding section begins, which will take you across a dirt road. From here, the most difficult part is over, and you can continue along the trail to reach the hut in about 30 minutes.
